Once again, the year is already flying by...I know it's cliche, but we all have to admit it's true. My original goal was to try and update this blog once a week however, it's just not happening. Justin is becoming more demanding of his Mommy and Daddy in a new ways. It used to be the diapers and feeding every two hours, now he just wants us to entertain him and play with him. I guess we still have to feed and change him, so throw that in there too and you've got a really full day.
The latest with Justin (a.k.a. Little Monkey, Biggie Smiles, Bub Bubs, Baby Justin, J.R. and Stinky) is his personality. It is starting to come at us in full force. He has definite likes (peas, tickles, jumping in his jumper, and going for walks) and definite dislikes (prunes, taking naps, and having his nose picked). Last night we had him in his high chair for dinner with us and he was really interested in what we were eating and drinking, so I gave him a sippy cup with water. He grabbed the handles on that cup like he had done it a thousand times before and tipped it back to take a big gulp! He tried to drink so much he started to choke, so I did what any caring parent would do, I took the cup away from him. Bad idea Mommy. That started a whaling session that sounded like I had pinched him instead of save him from what I was sure was him impending death by choking on a sippy cup. I sat there with my mouth hanging open for two reasons. He was mad at me and he knew how to use a cup!!!
Those teeny tiny toes are another favorite right now for teething. I think he likes them so much because they are always there dangling like little candies in front of his face. Needless to say, we go through about three pairs of socks a day. About three bibs too. The drool faucet is leaking right now with no end, or teeth, in sight.
We had another big first last night too. Our baby slept for NINE hours! Wow! I know a lot of parents who say that the first night their baby sleeps all the way through they wake up terrified something is wrong. Well, not us, not here. We were just so thankful to get a full night that I didn't have room for panic.
OH MY GOSH! He is getting soooo bigggg! I can't believe it. He is just as cute as ever. Miss you all. Much love from the east coast. XOXO
